Pajama Day!

I can't believe that this year is almost at its end! Time does fly! Testing is over and its time to have some fun and finish out the year. We are ready for summer to arrive and for 3rd grade in the Fall! I hope all of my sweet students have enjoyed second grade as much as I have enjoyed teaching them. This group of boys and girls will always have a special place in my heart because they will be my last group of students at Wiseman. As many of you already know, my family and I will be moving to Chattanooga at the end of May. It will be a busy few weeks as we prepare for the move. I know that it will be a positive experience for us as we gain some much needed "together time", however, words cannot express how deeply I will miss my amazing friends, coworkers, and students! Thank you faculty, staff, parents and children of J.W. Wiseman for all of your love and support over the last 16 years!

Thanksgiving Celebration

Our Thanksgiving play and poetry reading was a success! Thank you parents and grandparents for being a great audience and for your help with our 2nd grade feast!  The students looked adorable in their costumes, and they did a great job.

Rockin Fall Book Reports!

What a great job on Book Reports today!  I very much enjoyed hearing my students tell us about their favorite Fall books, and the props made them even better! Way to go!

Wacky Wednesday with our Awesome Student Teacher

Mrs. Hardin is a true asset to our class! She has very creative ideas and truly cares about the students.  This week she has taught about Author's Purpose, and the class enjoyed the hands-on activities!

Fall is here!

It's hard to believe that October is already here! The leaves are starting to change colors and there is a crispness in the air that I love!  We have been very busy learning and getting settled in to our daily routine.  The class has really enjoyed learning all about space, deserts, and recently about ants.  We earned our first party for good behavior last Friday and made some yummy "Ants on a Log".

Parents, remember to listen to your child read from his or her Fluency folder each weeknight and return on Thursday.  Thanks for your help at home!

Fall Break is coming up, October 12-17th.
